Little Bear and the Two Caves: A Children’s Book About Divorce with a Parent’s Guide to Help Children Understand and Talk About Divorce
This book can help you minimize the risk related to the divorce for your child. I have told this story to many children and have finally decided to make it accessible to all children/parents. I, therefore, wrote this book, with a parent’s guide included (with specific instructions about what you can say to your kids on for each page), to help you talk to your children about divorce.
This book will:
- Help your children understand what divorce is and how it will impact them.
- Give you the most important questions/discussion ideas to help your child adjust.
- Provide you with insight into how your child is adjusting and what you can do to help them adjust in the best way possible.
- Begin the communication process around divorce, which is a crucial aspect of protecting your children during this time.

Be the Change
Let all of us, in our own unique way, recommit ourselves to the search for the pebbles of change that can be cast into the social pond. Let us create a divorce process that recycles divorce pain into new patterns of personal and familial growth which, in turn, will also strengthen our entire society. Let us protect our children from the unnecessary hazards of the divorce experience so that they, like their parents, can be strengthened by divorce rather than defeated by it. And let us never forget that if the lights go out in our children’s eyes, be they children of divorce or any other children, we will all live in darkness.
